Chikhli is located at an elevation of 19 meters approximately from the sea level. The city is situated in the southern part of the state of Gujarat . It is considered as a major business hub. Chikhli was in news recently for discovering a 48 carat natural pearl, one of its kind in the whole of Gujarat.

History of Chikhli

The city of temples till few years back was a mixture of Desai, Kshatriya, Gandhi, Vaishnavas communities. However, since the last few years people from Uttar Pradesh, northern region of Gujarat and also Rajasthan have relocated to Chikhli. Climatic Conditions of Chikhli

The climate experienced in Chikhli is tropical in nature. The summers are hot and dry and the winters are quite chilly. The hottest months are April and May. Though June, July, August and September experiences hot climate, however, the rain during these months compensates the hot climate and brings down the temperature considerably. During October and November months, the sky is quite clear during day time and the night time the temperature goes down to below 20 C°. December is the coldest months and people can be seen wearing woolen cloths to protect themselves from the cold winds. Because of the favorable climatic conditions October to March are considered ideal for visiting the city.
